Entries are welcomed from those undergoing treatment for a diagnostically confirmed metabolic disorder – such as phenylketonuria (PKU), tyrosinemia (TYR), maple syrup urine disease (MSUD), urea cycle disorder (UCD) or homocystinuria (HCU).
Employees of Galen Limited and its affiliates are not eligible to participate.
Participants must select the correct age band for their entry. Entries submitted in the incorrect age band will not be eligible. If successful, confirmation of age may be required.
Only one entry per person is allowed.
2. How to Enter
Participants must provide their name and a contact email address to enter the competition, along with their written and/or illustrated story.
Entries must be received by 13th September 2024
3. Judging Criteria
Winners will be chosen by an independent judging panel made up of 6 judges from across UK & Europe.
4. Prizes
Prizes vary from category to category, as detailed below:
Winners of IMD Adventures (Age Group: 5-8 Years Old) will win an iPad with a year’s subscription to an educational learning app (IXL). Total prize value: £600
Winners of IMD Tales (Age Group: 9-12 Years Old) will win an iPad with a year’s subscription to an educational learning app (IXL). Total prize value: £600
Winners of IMD ‘Chronicles’ (Age Group: 13-16 Years Old) will win a laptop. Total prize value: £500
Winners of IMD ‘Journeys (Age Group: 16+Years Old) will win a laptop. Total prize value: £500
Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
5. Winner Notification
Winners will be notified via email within 1 week of the competition closing.
If a winner does not respond within 1 week, an alternate winner will be selected.
6. Privacy
By submitting an entry, you give permission for Galen to share the submission on their social media channels.
Personal information collected during the competition will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
7. General
Galen Limited reserves the right to remove entries that violate these terms and conditions.
The competition is subject to all applicable laws and regulations.
