Galen Medical Nutrition Scholarship Award

Galen Medical Nutrition Scholarship Award

We are delighted to launch the Galen Medical Nutrition Scholarship Award for the third consecutive year.

The scholarship is designed to support people with metabolic disorders, such as  Phenylketonuria (PKU) and Tyrosinaemia (TYR), accessing support for further education or career development through training, courses and apprenticeships.

If you are lucky enough to be chosen as I was, you will see clearly the profound impact it can have on achieving your goals!

– Fergal Egan, Previous Galen Medical Nutrition Scholarship Award Winner.

Who can apply?

The award is open to applicants right across Europe on treatment for a diagnosed metabolic disorder, such as PKU, TYR, MSUD, UCD or HCU. Confirmation of diagnosis from a registered healthcare provider will be required prior to an award being made. Residents of any country in Europe are eligible to apply.

Applicants must have identified a recognised college, technical school or training course provider before the scholarship is awarded but may apply for the scholarship before acceptance is confirmed. If the successful recipient has already paid their course fees/support for the upcoming period in advance of the scholarship being awarded they can be reimbursed for the costs, up to the maximum amount stated. Otherwise fees/support will be paid directly to the provider on behalf of the scholarship award recipient, up to the maximum amount stated.

Anyone who meets the above criteria is welcome to apply.
